Growing-up Delphine spent many delightful vacation days at Shawnigan Lake, beginning in the late 1960’s at her grandmother’s cabin on the West Arm.  From those wonderful memories came the incentive to reside in Shawnigan Lake.  Delphine, with her family, moved to the area in 1985.  At the same time Delphine began her career as a museum technician at the Duncan Forest Museum.  Over the years she has been involved in the arts and cultural field as a researcher, curator, registrar, art preparator and a collection manager.  Her Master of Arts degree in Museum Studies is from Leicester University, England.  Recently retired from the Royal BC Museum Delphine is excited to join the Shawnigan Lake Museum team.  She is keen to support and contribute to the continuing formulation of the Historical Society’s vision to be a strong and integral presence in the community.
