I first fell in love with Shawnigan when I started dating my wife, Jill in 1977. She grew up at her parent's house on Flicker Road. In 2013, we bought our own piece of land on the West Arm and built our retirement cabin. Jill has been a volunteer at the Museum and with me joining the Board, we have made it a family affair.
I have been a long time volunteer on various boards and organizations, the Royal BC Museum Foundation, View Royal Volunteer Fire Department, Art Gallery of Greater Victoria and the Freshwater Fish Society of BC.
I was actively involved in politics, being Mayor of the Town of View Royal for 10 years and a Director on the CRD Board.
I am currently the Managing Principal of Baker Tilly Victoria, a Chartered Profession Accounting firm with 2 offices and 75 staff.
